    Abstract

ABSTRACT BTS is set of equipment from radio which direct related with MS (Mobile Station ) through air interface to service an area the coverage of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication )/CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). BTS consist of antenna system , power lasing , radio frequency ,and all digital signal process. Role from BTS is very important about radiated and receive not only data but also signal in each operator. Deciding the right location to build BTS especially in area Kediri influenced by geographic condition like the highest points that can be a obstacle, location of subdistrict, river location, road site high , population and location of BTS. So that BTSs providers need to get plan of BTSs placement optimally. Geographic Information System is information system of computer that is used for putting in, saving, cheking, recalling, processing, analyzing, and resulting in geographic referenced data.. Geographic Information System integrated spasial data and attribute data.Based on the explanation, Geographic Information System can used to make supporting decision in planning of BTSs location, in the end, it will be get a good quality for BTSs provider in communication network development. In this last project, we makes a Geographic Information System (GIS) which have web base about site information and BTSs range from some cellular operators in Kediri City. There are an analysis and visualization in web form, it can be used as reference especially for decision makers to searching and deciding these location with BTS range in Kediri City, so it can be showed spot blank in area of Kediri City. Key Words : Geographic Information System (GIS), Base Transceiver Station (BTS)
