    Abstract

    Ship Position guide is appliance which able to determine accuracy of ship keel position at keel block and can measure distance between dock with hull by means ultrasonic wave. The censor detect object distance by transmitting ultrasonic wave ( 40 kHz) by counting difference of ultrasonic wave moment time delivered with the reflected wave re-accepted. The censor transmit ultrasonic wave was controlled by micro controller.The data from this appliance can be used as parameter for the dock masters in knowing distance between dock with hull of ship. The parameters obtained from data which displayed as digital number on LCD ( Liquid Crystal Display). To examine the appliance it can simulated by ship model. This appliance was designed can read distance which required in determination of distance between dock with hull of ship. Cencor was put down on front section, located at right and left side and the other hand put down in back section. The censor cannot detect object distance below 2 cm, because the distance too close. The testing was read the distance concrete number in digital appearance completing with indicator lamp used as a sign center position.This system have fitured about wireless communication was working in monitoring process.The output data was proses using mikrokontroler and sending in accordance with wireless using RF modul in order to can be monitored separate ways. The date have send using by RF modul receive by PC.The data was processed using visual basic application as a software when making the display monitoring.Visual basic facilitate has choosed to making communication programming for easy of process and easier for looking many tutorial was needed.
